The word of… Rebecca Pesce
"Art… what is it?
I am not really sure about the meaning of the word ART, but if I try to identify it to me it can be something embedded in figure as Bach, Andy Wharol, Anna Magnani, Charlie Chaplin or Fellini.
Although Art is something ‘unreal’, I know that exist and it withholds together pieces of many people’s life and also mine.
Art is the ‘pillar of the beautiful world, authentic world, the one that is depicted as real’; and I cannot live without it. I look at it from my spaceship, made by lively colours and movements, of dancing bodies and materials.
Art is renounce, because it is an overwhelming tide, it is a flood and wind.
Art is landscape of knowledge and emotions, awareness of the soul and the pain. It is chance, fight for immortality. My work starts from the dance. It shifts and moves through the ‘wearing objects’ that I create orbiting around the female body, its origins, its amazing ability of unify beauty, colours and irony.
